About organisation:

The Union of Museums in Slovakia (UMS) was established in 1990 and it has been acted as the association networking the museums in the Slovak Republic. This independent legal entity is settled in the city Banska Bystrica. The main mission of the Union is to pursue the interests of museums, to coordinate their activities and to support and develop the Slovak museums. Activity, membership, organization structure, management and other affairs of the Union are set out by the statut.
